League registration

Take sign-ups and collect league fees without the spreadsheet.

Put a registration form on your league's own site, collect a signed waiver and the fee, and assign each registrant to a team in a couple of taps. The money goes to your Stripe account, or you can take payment offline.

How it works

  1. Create a registration for your season. Set the price, the capacity, the deadline, the questions you need answered, and your waiver.
  2. Share one link. The form lives on your league's public site (for example readyref.app/leagues/your-league/register). Parents and players can register from any phone without an app or an account.
  3. Get paid. Card payments go straight to your Stripe account. If you prefer e-transfer, cash, or cheque, give your payment instructions and mark each person paid when the money arrives.
  4. Build your rosters. Assign registrants to teams from your registrations list. They land on the season roster, ready for the ref's scoreboard, stats, and standings.

Everything a league sign-up needs

  • A proper form. It collects participant details, the parent or guardian if that's a different person, emergency contacts, and your own questions.
  • A versioned waiver. Each registration records the signed name, the time, and the exact waiver version the person agreed to.
  • Capacity and deadlines. Registration closes on the deadline or when the season is full, whichever comes first.
  • One dashboard. Search and filter registrations, see who has paid, add walk-ups and paper waivers by hand, and export to CSV.
  • Refunds from inside ReadyRef. Card refunds go back through your Stripe account, and offline refunds are recorded in the same place.
  • Straight onto rosters. A registrant becomes a player on a team with no re-typing, and the rest of ReadyRef (live scoreboard, stats, standings) picks them up.

Your money, your Stripe account

ReadyRef connects to your own Stripe account, so every payment is charged there directly. We never hold your league's money. You see each payment in your own Stripe dashboard, and Stripe pays you out on its normal schedule.

You receive the price you set. By default the registrant pays a small service fee, shown on its own line (for example, $85.00 registration + service fee), so nobody thinks you've raised your price. ReadyRef's part is 3% on Free, 2% on Plus and 1% on League (50¢ minimum, $8 maximum); the rest is Stripe's card processing. See pricing. If you'd rather cover it yourself, one switch does that.

Offline registrations are free. ReadyRef takes no cut of money it didn't process. You can start offline today and connect Stripe later, and neither option ever blocks you from taking sign-ups.

Why not just use a Google Form?

A form collects names. After that, someone still has to chase payments, keep waivers somewhere, and copy every player into a roster by hand. ReadyRef keeps registration, payment, waiver, and roster together. The person who signs up in March is the same record the ref scores in May. Questions organizers ask

Where does the registration money go?+

Straight into your own Stripe account. ReadyRef never holds your league's money.

Do I have to use Stripe?+

No. With offline payment, people register online and pay you by e-transfer, cash, or cheque, and you mark them paid. Or offer both, and each family chooses card or paying you directly. There's no ReadyRef fee on offline registrations.

Who pays the service fee?+

The registrant pays it by default, as its own line next to your price. ReadyRef's part is 3% on Free, 2% on Plus and 1% on League (50¢ minimum, $8 maximum); the rest is Stripe's card processing. You can choose to absorb it instead.

What happens with refunds?+

You decide your league's refund terms and issue refunds from ReadyRef. See our refund policy for how the service fee is handled.

Is player information kept private?+

Registrations are visible only to the league owner. Public league sites never show player names. See the privacy policy.
