Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: June 23, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes how you may and may not use ReadyRef (the "Service"). It applies to everyone — referees, league organizers, statisticians, and spectators — and is part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to follow this policy.

2. Content You Submit

You are responsible for the content you enter, including team names, player names, jersey numbers, logos, league descriptions, public league-site text, and statistics. You must have the right to submit that content, and it must not:

  • Be hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory;
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • Impersonate another person, team, league, or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • Contain spam, advertising, malware, or links to harmful content; or
  • Violate any applicable law.

3. Protecting Minors

Youth leagues often involve players under the age of majority. If you enter, publish, or share information about minors (such as names or jersey numbers), you confirm that you have the authority and any necessary parental or guardian consent to do so. Use the Service's privacy and publishing controls to limit what is shown publicly. Never publish more personal information about a child than is necessary for league play.

4. Fair Play and Data Integrity

The Service is a trusted record of games and leagues. You may not:

  • Knowingly enter false scores, statistics, standings, or results;
  • Manipulate, inflate, or game leaderboards, ranks, predictions, fan scores, fan credits, or other fan or spectator features;
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated means to interact with games, watch sessions, or fan features; or
  • Create multiple accounts to evade limits, bans, or to distort spectator counts or reactions.

5. Spectator Conduct

Watch mode includes live reactions and social features. Keep reactions and any submitted text respectful. Do not use spectator features to harass players, officials, or other fans, or to disrupt a game.

6. Technical Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where allowed by law;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach its security or authentication;
  • Access data, leagues, or accounts that are not yours, or share game codes to gain unauthorized access;
  • Scrape or harvest data, or place unreasonable load on the Service or its infrastructure; or
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or other protections.

7. Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates this policy — including inappropriate names, harassment, or misuse of a child's information — please report it to support@readyref.app with enough detail for us to investigate.

8. Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice, and we may report unlawful activity to authorities. We aim to act proportionately, but we prioritize the safety of users — especially minors — and the integrity of league records.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective Date" above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice in the app or on our website.
