Settle the argument

Can you hand off forward in flag football?

Yes. Behind the line, but never forward to the center.

Handoffs are legal in any direction as long as both players are behind the line of scrimmage, the ball hasn’t been carried past it and possession hasn’t changed.

The one exception is the center: the snapper can’t receive a forward handoff. A backward pitch to the center, or a forward pass to them past the line, is fine.
